Aline LaPierre , Psy.D., MFT., is a core faculty member in the Somatic Psychology program at Santa Barbara Graduate Institute and an Advanced Candidate at The New Center for Psychoanalysis. In private clinical practice in Los Angeles for the past 15 years, she has specialized in the integration of psychodynamic and body-centered approaches. She is trained in a variety of body-centered modalities which include Body-Mind Centering, Somatic Experiencing, Continuum, acupressure, deep tissue and neuromuscular bodywork. She draws on her experience of the body to enrich the practice of embodied mindfulness. |

Lobsang Rapgay, Ph.D., is a clinical and health psychologist and currently directs the UCLA Clinical Research Program in Classical Mindfulness based Integrated CBT for Anxiety and Psychosomatic Disorders as a Research Faculty in the Department of Adult Psychiatry, UCLA. He was the Director of the UCLA Behavioral Medicine Clinic and Program for the last six years and has expertise in the clinical practice of behavioral medicine. He was a Tibetan Buddhist monk for over 20 years and is extensively trained in Buddhist theory and practice. He is currently conducting preliminary research in classical mindfulness and its effect on selective attention towards threatening information as well as developing a classical mindfulness based Integrative Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for anxiety and psychosomatic disorders. He has published a number of articles on Classical Mindfulness in peer reviewed journals. |

Lidia Zylowska, M.D., is a psychiatrist specializing in adult ADD/ADHD and mindfulness-based approaches. Working with patients in private practice in West LA, Dr. Zylowska is also the Assistant Director of Professional Education at the UCLA Mindful Awareness Research Center. Over the last several years, Dr. Zylowska has developed and led the investigation of the MAPs for ADHD program. Through her work, Dr. Zylowska promotes better understanding of adult ADHD (its neurobiology, common symptoms, difficulties as well as strengths), and she uses mindfulness and other treatment tools to empower individuals with ADHD. |
