Mindful Awareness Practices (MAPs) for ADD/ADHD is an educational and experiential mind-body program which provides overview of ADHD and uses mindfulness meditation and other exercises to enhance the well-being of adults with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADD/ADHD). This program is based on scientific research showing that mindfulness can increase self-awareness, enhance ones regulation of attention, reduce ADHD symptoms, and improve mood and anxiety. The program discusses latest scientific understanding of ADHD and meditation’s impact on the brain, highlights strengths and challenges associated with ADHD and teaches mindfulness exercises in an ADHD-friendly way. Individuals who want to know more about mindfulness and ADHD are welcome to register for this class. Clinicians working with ADHD teens and adults are welcome to inquire at about opportunities to attend and learn about this approach.

The Center for Mindfulness & Psychotherapy (CMP) offers a variety of seminars, workshops and conferences to health professionals and the lay community. By combining a range of meditative skills and psychotherapeutic processes, these programs are intended to enhance personal well-being, therapeutic presence, clinical skills and openings into ones full humanity.
